A long, long time ago, in a beautiful land called Hastinapura, there lived five brothers called the Pandavas. The second brother was named Bhima. Bhima was the strongest person in the whole world!
When Bhima was just a tiny baby, something amazing happened. His mother Kunti was holding him on a hilltop when he slipped from her lap. Baby Bhima fell down onto a big rock below. But guess what? The rock broke into tiny pieces, and baby Bhima did not even cry! He just giggled. That is how strong he was, even as a little baby.
Bhima loved to eat. He loved food so much! He could eat and eat and eat. His tummy was always hungry. His brothers would laugh and say, "Bhima, you ate all the rice again!" Bhima would smile his big smile and ask for more. Because he ate so well, he grew up to be very, very tall and very, very strong. He was as strong as a thousand elephants!
Bhima had four brothers. Yudhishthira was the oldest and very wise. Arjuna was a great archer. Nakula and Sahadeva were the youngest twins. Bhima loved all his brothers so much. He always said, "I will keep you safe. No one will hurt my family."
One time, a mean demon named Bakasura was scaring all the people in a village. The demon made the villagers send him cartloads of food every day. The people were so afraid! When Bhima heard about this, he said, "Do not worry. I will help you." Bhima went to the demon with a big cart of food. But instead of giving the food to the demon, Bhima sat down and started eating it himself! This made the demon very angry. The demon tried to fight Bhima, but Bhima was much, much stronger. Bhima defeated the demon, and all the village people were safe and happy again. They cheered, "Thank you, Bhima!"
Bhima was not just strong in his body. He was also strong in his heart. He loved his mother, Kunti, very much. Whatever his mother asked, Bhima would do. When his family was in trouble, Bhima never ran away. He always stood in front to protect them.
Bhima also had a very special friend — his mace! A mace is like a big, heavy club. Bhima could swing his mace like it was a little stick. No one in the whole world could fight with a mace better than Bhima.
Do you know what makes Bhima really special? He used his great strength to help others. He did not use it to bully anyone or show off. He used it to protect his family, help people in trouble, and fight bad guys. His strength came with a kind heart.
Bhima teaches us something very important. Being strong is wonderful, but what matters most is how you use your strength. You can be strong too! When you help a friend who is sad, when you stand up for someone, or when you carry something heavy for your mom or dad — you are being like Bhima.
So remember, be strong like Bhima. Be brave like Bhima. And most importantly, use your strength to be kind and to help others, just like Bhima did!
